About Me
As a child, I tended to care more about others than myself. Doing so helped me gain a false sense of control over situations and connection in my relationships as well as feel overly important and needed in my in relationships. When those relationships became unstable or ended, I felt unstable and needed to seek out my own help through counseling. It was through my own work in counseling that I discovered my needs, emotions, and identity. This allowed me to focus on things that were really in my control, like taking care of myself, pursuing my own happiness, and redefining my role in relationships and what those looked like for me.
Naturally, I became interested in psychology and furthering my education about human behavior. In 2012, I graduated with my B.S in Psychology from Texas A&M University. In 2017, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. From there, I interned for a non-profit Christian counseling agency in Texas providing individual therapy to adults and teens with depression, anxiety and relational issues. In 2019, I became certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. Since 2020, I have provided therapy through my private practice known as Recover & Rebuild Counseling, LLC. Recover & Rebuild Counseling, LLC was started to help restore hope to individuals who felt hopeless or lost after starting over in life or relationships. In early 2023 I became certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor in West Virginia and moved there with my husband and our dog. I currently provide individual telehealth therapy to adults and teens in Texas & West Virginia.
