Achieve Your Goals
Support That Makes a Difference
Adolescence can be a stressful time for teens and parents as both learn to adjust to physical, social, emotional and developmental changes. Teens may struggle making friends, with bullying, depression, unhealthy peer relationships, social isolation, anxiety, or experimenting with drugs. Together your child and I will work together in counseling to help them understand their emotions, healthy ways to respond, ways to communicate and meet their needs better. My role will be to solely provide them with therapeutic support, encouragement to try new coping strategies, and communicate their needs, thoughts and emotions better. With adolescent counseling I utilize parent consultations to help parents understand what their child is going through and recommend parent strategies to help their teen meet their goals in counseling. Parents and I meet for an initial 60-minute consultation/intake to discuss their child's background/history, concerns, goals, treatment plan and expectations for counseling. Following the intake, each adolescent session is 45-50 minutes and occurs weekly. For questions or to schedule an appointment, feel free to contact me at 210-816-1524 or email@example.com. The first initial 20 minute phone call consultation is free to answer any questions you have and determine if I am the right fit for you and your child's counseling needs.
Individual Counseling for Adults
Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. With my individual counseling sessions, we will explore your feelings, thoughts, actions and experiences that brought you here and do so in a safe confidential space. We will also help you gain insight into your interactions with others and experiences, learn about acceptance and how to make positive changes in your life. Individual counseling sessions will be 50-minutes long and occur once a week. To schedule an appointment or ask questions about individual counseling contact Macy Gardipee, LPC at firstname.lastname@example.org or 210-816-1524.

“Sandtray therapy is an expressive and projective mode of psychotherapy involving the unfolding and processing of intra and inter-personal issues through the use of specific sandtray materials as a nonverbal medium of communication, led by the client or therapist and facilitated by a trained therapist. Sandtray therapy can be used with children, adolescents, adults, individuals, groups, couples and families”. -Dr. Linda E. Homeyer and Daniel S. Sweeney (authors of Sandtray Therapy, A Practical Manual) . I utilize sandtray therapy to help individuals process challenging experiences and increase insight for themselves and interactions with others.
